Mali - 30"x30", Acrylic on Fabric, 2007

This painting is named after a friend who was obsessed with the color orange when we became acquainted. Her passion for orange rivaled mine for red. She delighted me because I had never met someone who had developed a relationship with color the way I do. Whole worlds are built around the things we love.
The style of this piece does not reflect Mali. She's pointier. The curves are mine, but the color is hers.

In order from top down these are WANT, TAKE & HAVE. I'm still straddling a fence as whether to attach these to each other, let them hang separately or to even keep them as a triptych.
